Terms & Conditions

Global Link Express (GLX) · General service terms

Important: These general website terms are intended to explain the basic responsibilities and conditions for GLX services. They should be reviewed and adapted to the actual business structure, contracting parties and applicable laws before being relied on as a complete legal contract.

1. Scope of Services

Global Link Express (GLX) coordinates logistics and shipment support, which may include pickup coordination, packaging guidance, forwarding or air-cargo arrangements, customs support and destination delivery coordination. The exact service, route, carrier, delivery method and charges depend on the individual quotation and shipment.

2. Lawful Goods and Customer Responsibility

Customers must only offer goods that are lawful to send, export, import, transport and receive in the relevant countries and any transit countries. The sender and/or customer is responsible for ensuring that the shipment complies with all applicable laws, regulations, sanctions, customs requirements and carrier rules.

GLX may refuse, hold or discontinue a shipment where the goods, documentation, route or circumstances create a legal, customs, safety or carrier-compliance concern.

3. Accurate Shipment Information

The customer must provide accurate and complete information, including sender and recipient details, addresses, contact information, contents, quantity, declared value, dimensions and weight, and any information required for customs or transport documentation. Incorrect, incomplete or misleading information may result in additional charges, customs action, delays, refusal or return of the shipment.

4. Packaging and Condition of Goods

The customer is responsible for suitable packaging and for ensuring that the contents are protected for normal handling and transport. GLX may provide packaging guidance or coordinate packaging services where agreed. Packaging requirements can vary according to the goods, route and carrier.

5. Customs, Duties, Taxes and Inspections

International shipments may be subject to customs declarations, inspection, duties, import VAT, fees, permits or other charges. Unless a quotation expressly states otherwise, the customer remains responsible for charges imposed by customs, authorities or carriers that are not included in the agreed service price.

Customs clearance and delivery times can be affected by inspections, documentation requirements, government decisions, missing information and other events outside GLX's control. Any customs or regulatory guidance provided by GLX is general coordination support and does not replace advice from the competent authority or a qualified customs, tax or legal professional.

6. Quotations, Weight and Additional Charges

Quotes are based on the shipment information available at the time of quotation. Depending on the service, chargeable weight may be based on actual or volumetric weight. The applicable calculation and rate will be confirmed in the quotation or shipment agreement.

Additional charges may apply where the actual shipment differs materially from the quoted information, including differences in weight, dimensions, destination, remote-area delivery, customs requirements, storage, re-delivery, special handling or other carrier/authority charges. Any applicable additional amount should be communicated to the customer where reasonably possible.

7. Transit Times and Delivery

Estimated transit times are indicative unless a specific delivery commitment is expressly agreed in writing. Delays can occur due to weather, flight or capacity changes, customs, inspections, documentation, security procedures, carrier operations, public authorities or other events outside GLX's reasonable control.

8. Payment and Shipment Acceptance

Shipment acceptance, pickup and forwarding may be subject to the payment terms stated in the quotation. GLX may pause or decline a service where required payment or documentation has not been received. The shipment is accepted only after the relevant service and commercial conditions have been agreed.

9. DDP and Other Special Services

Where DDP or another special service is offered, its scope applies only as specifically described in the quotation. Taxes, duties, customs services and other destination charges are included only where expressly stated. Customers should not assume that a service described as DDP includes every possible government or third-party charge unless the quotation confirms this.

10. Claims, Loss or Damage

Any shortage, visible damage or other shipment issue should be reported to GLX as soon as reasonably possible, with photographs and supporting documents where available. Carrier-specific claim procedures, time limits, liability rules and any agreed insurance or declared-value arrangements may apply. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

11. Prohibited or Restricted Shipments

Customers must disclose any item that may be dangerous, restricted or subject to special transport rules before booking. This can include batteries and lithium-containing equipment, hazardous materials, certain chemicals, weapons, medicines, food, plants, animals, cash, precious items and other regulated goods. Acceptance depends on the applicable law, route and carrier requirements.

12. Third-Party Carriers and Service Providers

Depending on the route and service, GLX may coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, customs service providers, delivery companies and other third-party logistics providers. Their operational terms, documentation requirements and applicable liability rules may also apply to the shipment.

13. Communication and Online Services

Website quotation requests may open communication through services such as WhatsApp or email. The website itself does not provide a live tracking database or guarantee that every online service will be continuously available. Shipment-specific information is confirmed through the agreed communication and quotation process.

14. Changes and Applicable Rules

GLX may update its service information, routes and these general website terms from time to time. The terms, rates and service conditions applicable to a particular shipment are those agreed for that shipment, together with mandatory requirements of the relevant countries, authorities and transport providers.

15. Customer Acknowledgement

By requesting or accepting a GLX shipment service, the customer confirms that they will provide truthful shipment information, use lawful goods, follow applicable export/import and transport requirements, provide required documentation and cooperate with customs and carrier procedures.
